Robust fraudulence detection of patchouli oil plant using near infrared spectroscopy

Abstract This study aimed to apply the near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) for a robust and fast detection method fraudulence in patchouli oil plant. Pure sample adulterated with ethanol were used as samples this work. Spectral data form of transmittance acquired wavenumbers range from 400 4000 cm −1 . A total 60 mixed using six difference concentration while 10 remaining pure without other substances. Classification models established principal component analysis followed by cross validation approach. The results showed that can distinguish between 100% accuracy two components (PCs) PCA. Based on obtained results, it may conclude NIRS approach be determine classify based their purity
